Computed Tomography (CT)
CT scans use computers and rotating X-ray machines to create cross-sectional images at different angles of the body.
What is Computed Tomography?
A CT scan (Computed Tomography scan) is a medical imaging technique that combines x-ray technology with computer processing to create detailed, cross-sectional images of the body. Unlike regular X-rays, which produce flat images, a CT scan provides cross sectional images images that allow doctors to view bones, organs, blood vessels, and soft tissue structures in slices.
CT scans require an appointment, as preparation is often necessary. This might include fasting for a period of time, or drinking water in the lead up to your appointment. Please contact our clinics for more information or to book your CT scan.
This service is bulk billed for patients and referrals that are eligible for Bulk Billing through Medicare.
